You know I couldn’t end the year without a gushy reader appreciation post!

If you are signed up to the mailing list, you received a personal holiday email from me. Yes, even though it took hours and two days I emailed each and every last one of you on the mailing list. This is what I love about building the Imported Chocolate village a reader at a time, because as you’ve noticed in my message to you, I remembered each reader on a personal level down to the very first comment some of you left on my blog when you first discovered Imported Chocolate.

I am claiming it now and will say that what I have planned for 2013 will bring hundreds, if not thousands, more readers to Imported Chocolate. I do not know whether the numbers will flood or trickle in and I’m not really concerned or obsessed with the numbers aspect of building my Imported Chocolate village. What is most important to me is you, each individual reader that takes the time to email me or read my blog.

Your emails telling me how much Imported Chocolate means to you and how it has inspired you is what keeps me going, it’s what fuels me to never give up and to keep giving Imported Chocolate my all and make it the most unique, exclusive travel website on the internet—so expect more eccentricity and innovation from Imported Chocolate in the New Year— that I can make it! No matter how large Imported Chocolate grows, whether it’s a slow, sudden or constant growth, I will always keep it personal and approachable, because that’s what sets it apart.

You inspire me just as much as I inspire you. And this is why I take the time, no matter how long it takes, to email each of you personally and check in to see how you are doing or how your travel plans are panning out. Just know I commit each reader I communicate with to memory along with your travel dreams and aspirations. I hope to meet you all one day and if you’re ever in New York, shoot me an email and I will meet you for tea. In the mean time, don’t be shy. Email me and introduce yourself if we have not communicated on a personal level yet.

As promised in the personal email, I’ve created a contributors section. You can check it out here. I have also made a note of all your requests for blog post that would interest you. I want you to know I am working on them and thinking about them, even though I am entertaining family for the holidays and planning a little soirée for New Years.

I hope you all had a beautiful Christmas and I hope this New Year brings you everything you desire most!

Love,
Jen

A contributor’s section is a really good idea. There are lots of writers who I’m sure would love some exposure and could relate to your audience! I’m really looking forward to what 2013 holds for Imported Chocolate! Happy New Years and Happy Travels!
